SUMMARY
Giving the #1 online LGBTQ magazine a new look and feel
Many publishers face similar challenges: growing page views, increasing session time, engaging mobile users, squeezing ad revenue...throw in a decade-old brand design and a massive decline in viral traffic and you have a 4 week project I tackled as part of the Done Company team.
We created a more visual, punchy page designed to cleanly integrate ads making it more legible for readers and more appealing for direct sale advertisers. We added more emphasis to editorial channels - like tags and side bars - to give users more opportunities to get engaged. Mobile sessions are up 40%, page views are up 22%, social referrals are up 70%.
